This webinar will explore the physiologic changes of pregnancy and its effect on oral health, as well as the role in oral health in healthy pregnancy. It will discuss how to deliver safe and appropriate dental care in every trimester of pregnancy.

Presenter Qualifications:

Lisa Simon, MD, DMD is a physician and dentist who has published more than 85 peer-reviewed articles on oral health policy and the separation of medicine and dentistry. Her NIH funded research focuses on key questions in oral health policy and the effect of dental access on health outcomes. She is an Assistant Professor in the Division of General Internal Medicine and Primary Care at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, and the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, where she is also the Director of the Initiative to Integrate Oral Health and Medicine.
